In the Fall of 1993, we welcomed our first guest to the LadySlipper Inn. We have enjoyed all our guests over the past 15 years; many of whom have become good friends. We have now decided to close the Inn on October 15, 2008 and start a new chapter in our lives while we are healthy enough to enjoy an active retirement. We will do some traveling, reading, gardening and spending time with children and grandchildren. Our website will stay on-line to ensure that, if in the future we do sell this property, prospective buyers would have the option of re-opening the B&B using the same name and website. Our 1/800 number will be discontinued when we close, so if you do wish to reach us, please use the 218/573-3353 number. We will miss many aspects of this business, most of all you, the guests. We hope that when you plan a visit to the Park Rapids area in the future you will consider the Heartland Trail B&B in Dorset as an alternative place to stay. Mitch and Gloria are doing a great job there; it is a wonderful place to stay. Thank you for your past business. Pat & John Corbid

We chose to name our
Inn after the Showy Lady's Slipper because the flower is rare, delicate,
beautiful and grows only in secluded protected places. As Minnesota's
State Flower, it is loved and protected as a symbol of what's best in
our natural environment.
We built our Inn to fit into this unique environment. We are located approximately 15 miles West and North of Park Rapids, MN and about 30 miles East of Detroit Lakes, MN.
